Forthing S7 – overview
Forthing S7 is a full-size electric liftback from the Forthing division, which operates as part of the Dongfeng concern. Introduced in September 2024. The car received a blank front end without a radiator grille, retractable door handles, a sloping roof, frameless doors and a semi-closed wheel design with a diameter of 18 to 20 inches. With fairly large dimensions (length - 4935 mm, wheelbase - 2915 mm), it was possible to achieve outstanding aerodynamics: the Cx coefficient is a record low for a production model - only 0.191. The minimalist interior has almost no physical buttons. The front panel has separate screens for instruments (8.8 inches) and multimedia (15.6 inches). The media system running Star Ocean OS supports 4G, a Wi-Fi hotspot, deep integration with smartphones and an advanced voice assistant. An autopilot of the second level of autonomy has been proposed. The trunk holds 541 liters, with the rear row folded down - 1303 liters. The Forthing S7 is equipped with a single electric motor on the rear axle with an output of 218 hp. and 310 Nm. The liftback accelerates to the first hundred in 6.7 seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 165 km/h. A battery with a capacity of 56.8 kW/h provides 555 km of range without recharging (according to the CLTC cycle), the declared energy consumption is 11.9 kW/h per 100 km.
