Ineos Automotive is an English company established in 2016 by billionaire James Ratcliffe, which was born out of love for the good old Land Rover Defender. Ratcliffe is known in the big business world as the founder and owner of the chemical producer Ineos. After Jaguar Land Rover stopped the production of the legendary model in 2016, Ratcliffe attempted to buy the rights to continue producing the Defender, but was rejected and decided to develop his own car in the same style. The vehicle was named Ineos Grenadier. Orders for the brand’s first model began to be accepted from May 2022. Production is organized in France, in the city of Hambach, at the former Daimler plant.
