International car models in Israel

International Harvester incorporated in 1902 managed to become the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery and trucks in the United States at that time. Trucks, towing cars, tractors, fuel trucks, cranes, buses, pickups and off-roaders manufactured by the International brand found a good market niche. However, the company had incurred pretty large debts by 1982 and decided to close down its operations. In 1984, International was acquired by Tenneco, one of the largest American automotive component manufacturers. The new owners completely halted International Harvester’s production lines in 1985 and used them as the basis for creating a new brand, Navistar International, which was recognized as one of the world’s Top 500 enterprises in 2006. But that's quite a different story.
