Isuzu Amigo – overview
The Isuzu Amigo is a compact body-on-frame SUV that has been produced since 1989. The model had many faces, since it was produced under different names in different regions. It was marketed as Isuzu Amigo and Rodeo Sport in the USA, as Isuzu Mu in Japan, as Opel Frontera Sport in Europe (except the UK), as Vauxhall or Holden in the UK and Australia, respectively. Interestingly, the SUV came with an all-wheel drive system to all the countries except for the USA where it had both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. And finally, in 2005, when all other countries finished producing an SUV, the Chinese company JMC copied this model and began to produce it under the Landwind X9 brand.
