In April 2021, the Chinese IT giant Baidu (55%) and China's largest automotive holding Geely (45%) created the startup JiDU for the development and production of "smart electric vehicles". The new company has received all the achievements of Baidu in the field of artificial intelligence and network services, as well as the SEA platform, which cost Geely 2.5 billion dollars. The first common product is the Robo-01 electric SUV, demonstrating a new generation of cars in the Intelligent Car 3.0 era.
