The Koenigsegg Regera is one of the most unusual and technologically advanced hypercars in the world. The word "Regera" is translated from Swedish as "to reign". The 2015 exhibition car entered the market only after having undergone about 3,000 modifications. At the same time, the entire batch has already been sold. On September 23, 2019, the car set a world record by accelerating from 0 to 400 km/h and back to 0 in 31.49 seconds. The open-body 2-seater mid-engined megacar is equipped with a hybrid system with a total capacity of 1,500 hp. A 5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine (1,100 hp) is paired with three electric motors and a Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD) transmission. KDD is a unique proprietary direct drive transmission with a single gear.
