MAN Group is a German holding producing trucks, buses and engines. The company is headquartered in Munich. The main shareholder of the company is Volkswagen AG. The company consists of three divisions. MAN Truck & Bus is one of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in Europe. It produces MAN, ERF, STAR trucks, as well as Neoplan buses. MAN Diesel & Turbo manufactures diesel engines, industrial turbines and compressors. MAN Ferrostaal AG is a division that designs and builds high-tech manufacturing plants. The company traces its history back to the 18th century, when in 1758 the first heavy industry enterprise in the region was founded in the Ruhr region of Germany, the metallurgical plant of St. Anthony. The plant worked closely with Rudolph Diesel, who created the world's first diesel engine in 1893-1897. In the early 1930s, the brand produced the most powerful diesel truck in the world. Today, MAN SE sells its products in more than 120 countries around the world.
