Maruti Suzuki 1000 – overview
The Maruti 1000 is a small sedan produced in India by Maruti Udyog from 1990 to 2000. It was an extremely popular Suzuki Swift, adapted for India. Interestingly, at the beginning of production, this modest car was considered luxurious and even was the first prize in a lottery. For its segment, the model was considered high-quality and very reliable. And when a low-power engine was replaced with 80-horsepower engines, the Maruti 1000 became magnificent and even took part in the rally.
