Maruti Suzuki Zen – overview
The Maruti Zen is a compact 5-door hatchback produced by Maruti, Suzuki's Indian subsidiary, from 1993 to 2006. This is the first hatchback in the Indian market. The name "ZEN" is an abbreviation of the phrase "Zero Engine Noise", which means "silent engine". In Europe and many other export markets, the car made in India was sold as the Suzuki Alto. The driver-focused car is known for its exceptional reliability and incredible durability. It is still in demand in the secondary market.
