Maybach 57 generations

The Maybach 57 is a large super-expensive sedan based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140 and W220. By starting the production of this model, DaimlerChrysler revived the pre-war Maybach brand. “57” stands for the rounded body length in decimetres. The car came with a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 550 hp, paired with a 5-speed automatic gearbox and a rear-wheel drive system. The S version received a more powerful 6-liter V12 engine with 612 hp. However, the financial crisis of 2008 affected the success of luxury sedans, and the Maybach 57 was discontinued in 2012.
