Maybach 62 generations

The Maybach 62 is a large super-expensive sedan based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W140 and W220. By starting the production of this model in 2002, DaimlerChrysler decided to revive the pre-war Maybach brand. The number “62” in the name meant the rounded body length in decimeters. The car came with a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine with 550 hp, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Later, the manufacturer introduced a 62 S modification with a more powerful 6.0-liter V12 engine with 612 hp. The initially strong demand weakened with time, and the financial crisis of 2008 dealt the final blow: in 2012, the luxury sedan was discontinued.
