Maybach SL – overview
The Maybach SL (Mercedes-Maybach SL 680) is a two-seater roadster based on the production Mercedes-AMG SL 63 convertible. It was unveiled in August 2024, sales started in the spring of 2025, and the production run is not limited. Instead of a rear row, the Maybach SL roadster has a compartment for a suitcase, covered on top with an additional rigid fairing, which changed the profile of the car, although the body itself remained standard. On the outside, the Mercedes-Maybach SL differs from the AMG versions with other bumpers and a radiator grille, as well as rich chrome trim, the headlights inside have a gold coating. The three-pointed star is located on the hood, the wheels are 21-inch. You can choose two basic options: Red Ambience with a red body and a black hood or White Ambience with a white body and a black hood. A hand-applied Maybach logo print on the hood is offered as a separate option. The interior is finished in expensive nappa leather, the instrument and media system graphics have been revised. The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is equipped with a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an output of 585 hp and 800 Nm, 4Matic+ all-wheel drive with a clutch on the front axle and all-wheel steering. Instead of the 9-speed AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic with a wet clutch, a 9G-Tronic variant with a conventional torque converter is installed. The roadster accelerates to the first "hundred" in 4.1 seconds, the maximum speed is limited to 260 km / h.
