Premacy

Mazda Premacy generations

The Mazda Premacy is a compact van produced by Mazda (Japan) from 1999 to 2018. It was sold in Europe and Asia under its own name. But after badge engineering, it was called the Ford Ixion or Ford MAV in Japan and in some Asian markets. The second generation is known around the world as the Mazda 5. Initially, the Primacy was equipped with two rows of seats for 4 or 5 passengers, but later a third row appeared, which increased the capacity to 6 seats for the American version and up to 7 for other countries. The minivan had an almost flat floor, the 2nd row could be folded or removed, and the rear seats could be retracted under the floor. The modern three-row Mazda Premacy has seven seats. The third row is folded in parts, the seats of the middle row can be moved in the longitudinal direction by 270 mm. Interestingly, the middle section of the backseat can turn into a table, a container for items, or completely get out.
