Mazda Protege – overview
The Mazda Protege is a passenger car that was produced until 2004. For a long period of time, it was the main representative of Mazda Motor Corporation. It bore different names for different markets: Mazda 323, Mazda Familia, and Mazda Astina. It was also produced as the Ford Laser under the Ford brand. The compact middle-class sedan was equipped with reliable and fuel-efficient engines. It had a solid interior finished with high-quality materials. Over the entire period of its production, the Protege was improved many times. In 2003, it was replaced with the legendary Mazda 3.
