Mercedes GLE – overview
The Mercedes-Benz GLE is a mid-size luxury E-segment SUV produced since 2015. It can be equipped with both rear and all-wheel drive. "GLE" is translated from German as "longer E-segment SUV". Prior to the GLE, the ML-series was produced. Since 2015, all Mercedes SUVs start with the prefix GL, and the next letter indicates the vehicle class. So the third-generation ML, which received the GLE index, became the first representative of a new class.
