Mitsubishi Carisma - catalog and technical specifications
The Mitsubishi Carisma is a car produced specifically for the European market from 1995 to 2003. It was the only export model from the Japanese manufacturer to feature a GDI direct injection engine, as the European fuel was considered insufficiently good. The name comes from a combination of the English word "car" and the Greek "χάρισμα" (divine gift). The model was developed jointly with Volvo, assembled at the NedCar plant in the Netherlands in sedan and hatchback bodies and equipped with 1.3-1.8-liter gasoline engines or a 1.9-liter diesel engine. Unfortunately, despite all this, the car did not become popular. Thus, the Carisma was included in the consumer anti-rating according to the British edition of Auto Express, which named the 10 worst cars over the past 25 years. At the same time, about 350,000 units were produced.
