Mitsubishi Space Runner – overview
The Mitsubishi Space Runner is a 5-seater front-wheel drive compact van produced from 1991 to 2002 in two generations. It was based on the compact Mitsubishi Lancer. In Japan, it was called RVR. The car differed from other compact vans by the versions with permanent all-wheel drive (some trim levels featured a rear cross-axle differential lock), a sliding rear door and a skid rear seat. The first generation Space Runner was equipped with 1.8-liter or 2-liter engines, whereas the second generation model featured 2-liter or 2.4-liter engines.
