Nissan Altima – overview
The Nissan Altima is a mid-size sedan produced by Nissan (Japan) since 1992. Although the car traces its history back to the early 90s, its roots go even deeper. In fact, the Altima is a continuation of the Bluebird model (1955). The modern sedan was designed specifically for the US market to fill the gap between the modest Sentra and the luxurious Maxima. After four generations sold in the Americas, the Middle East and Australia, the Altima has finally expanded to other markets as the Nissan Teana.
