Nissan BE-1 generations

The Nissan BE-1 is a retro-style 2-door coupe based on the March/Micra subcompact car. It was produced in 1987-1988 in Japan for the domestic market. The car was equipped with a 1.0-liter carburetor engine in combination with a 3-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission to choose from. The coupe received a front-wheel drive system and all-wheel independent suspension. In two years, 10,000 cars were assembled, but since the demand for them was very high, Nissan used a lottery to determine buyers.
