The Nissan Cherry is a subcompact car, the ancestor of the Nissan subcompact model range. Originally developed by Prince Motors, the car debuted in 1970 after the company merged with Nissan and was produced in 4 generations until 1987. The first generation was offered in sedan, estate, van and coupe bodies, while the last generation was limited to sedans and 3- or 5-door hatchbacks. The car has been produced with front-wheel drive and was sold not only in Japan, but also in Europe, America and other parts of the Earth.
