Laurel

Nissan Laurel generations

The Nissan Laurel is a large rear-wheel drive sedan that was produced from 1969 to 2002. The car was named in honor of the noble laurel tree. Designed by the Prince Motor Company, the first generation was produced in 2-door and 4-door versions. After the merger between Prince and Nissan, the Laurel lived a long and happy life. The car periodically hit the export Asian and European markets, as well as Chile and Panama. The sedan's career ended after the alliance between Nissan and Renault. The car crowned with laurels was replaced by the Nissan Teana, built on a platform shared with the Renault Laguna.
