Nissan Leaf generations
The Nissan Leaf is the first truly mass-produced electric 5-door hatchback that has been sold globally since 2010. Just like the Nissan Juke SUV, the car is built on the Nissan V platform. The first Leaf was equipped with an electric motor that developed 80 kW and was powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 24 kWh. A fully charged battery was enough for 200 km. The new Nissan Leaf received a new 110 kW engine. The battery capacity has grown to 40 kWh. Accordingly, the driving range has also approximately doubled, up to 400 km.
