The appearance of the car in the style of "journey through the urban jungle" is still considered an example of the crazy creativity of Japanese designers. At the same time, the car has a simple interior, a 1.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, a 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic transmission. However, the unusual appearance and rather simple content did not affect sales in any way. A limited edition of 31,000 sold out within 3 months starting in January 1989.
