Renault Symbioz in Israel

Renault Symbioz is a new compact crossover from Renault for the European market, presented on May 2, 2024. In fact, it is an extended version of the Renault Capture: they have a common platform, similar design and interior. However, the manufacturer calls Symbioz a new model and places the main emphasis on practicality. From the front, Symbioz copies Captur almost word for word. All the differences begin behind the rear pillars: the new crossover has larger windows, its own rear bumper, tailgate and lights. The length is 4413 mm (174 mm longer than the Capture), they have the same wheelbase - 2638 mm. The salon is designed for 5 seats, and the interior is completely borrowed from the younger model. The developers place the main emphasis on the practicality of the new crossover: the rear sofa can be moved forward by 160 mm - in this case, the trunk volume will increase from 492 to 624 liters. With the second row backrests fully folded, the trunk holds 1,582 liters. In addition, numerous additional compartments for various small items with a total capacity of 24.7 liters were placed in the cabin. The first to be presented is the hybrid version of Renault Symbioz; later the range is promised to be expanded. The hybrid can only be driven on electric power, but there is no possibility of recharging from an outlet. The crossover has front-wheel drive.
