Saab 900 – overview

The Saab 900 is a mid-size car produced from 1978 to 1998. The model had two generations. The first generation was based on the Saab 99 chassis but had a longer front end to meet US passive safety requirements. It was available as a 2 or 4-door sedan, 3 or 5-door hatchback, as well as a convertible since 1986. The engines comprised all the technologies of those years: carburetor power or fuel injection, as well as turbocharging of varying degrees of pressure.
