Skoda Popular - catalog and technical specifications
The Skoda Popular is a small family car in semi-convertible and roadster bodies, which was produced in Czechoslovakia from 1933 to 1946. Back then it was the most affordable Skoda car. It received a classic design and excellent technical characteristics for its time. The car successfully participated in races, became the founder of a new class of models and was exported to dozens of different countries. The car’s reliability is proven by an impressive 11,000 km journey from Prague to Kolkata performed by four Skoda Popular cars. On the way home, the cars passed through Bombay and were loaded on a ship to Italy in the port of Trieste. From there they returned to their homeland, passing through Yugoslavia and Austria. The total length of the return route was 15,000 km.
