SsangYong Kallista – overview
The SSangYong Kallista is a copy of the Panther Kallista sports convertible produced by a local manufacturer of small-scale vintage cars in the UK since 1981. The car was based on the Ford chassis. It was equipped with a powerful 2.9-liter Ford Cologne V6 engine. After the British company was bought by the South Korean automaker SsangУong, the new owners tried to sell the Kallista in South Korea. A total of 78 retro-style sports cars were sold from 1992 to 1994. The experiment was rightly considered a failure, and SsangYong concentrated on the creation of SUVs.
