R2

Subaru R2 - catalog and technical specifications

The Subaru R2 is a subcompact city car that has been produced since 2003. Its name and style are inspired by the R-2, which was the name of the 1969 subcompact car that Fuji Heavy Industries launched as the successor to the famous Subaru 360 "Ladybug". The design of the new R2 can safely be called a work of automotive art. It was created by Andreas Zapatinas who worked for Alfa Romeo Design Center. The little car was equipped with a 660 cc 4-cylinder engine, manual transmission or CVT. The CVT had a sporty driving mode and the ability to switch to a 7-speed manual mode. The Subaru R2 also has an independent suspension and many modifications.
