Suzuki Escudo – overview
The Suzuki Escudo is a compact SUV released in 1988. It was the very model that introduced the Suzuki brand to many people. The off-road vehicle was distinguished by its strength, outstanding ability to overcome difficult terrain and unpretentiousness. It debuted as a 3-door vehicle with a 1.6-liter engine, but later received an instantly popular 5-door body and engines with volumes of 2.0 or 2.5 liters. In export markets, the SUV became known as the Grand Vitara or Vitara, depending on the generation. Produced since 2015, the fourth generation completely rejected the legacy of glorious ancestors and turned into a subcompact SUV.
