Tata Motors Ltd. is the largest Indian car manufacturer, headquartered in the bustling city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The company embarked on its journey in 1945, initially constructing locomotives for the railways. In 1954, Tata Motors collaborated with Daimler-Benz AG to begin manufacturing trucks. It wasn't until 1998 that the first passenger car of their own design, the Tata Indica, was introduced. However, perhaps the most well-known event that made headlines worldwide took place later on: in 2004, Tata Motors acquired Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company, and in 2008, the iconic British brands Jaguar and Land Rover.
