Toyota 2000GT - catalog and technical specifications
The Toyota 2000GT is a rear-wheel drive sports coupe produced from 1967 to 1970. In the mid-60s, Toyota decided to enter the sports car market. Due to lack of experience, Yamaha was involved in the development of the car. The result is a very interesting sports car. It was equipped with a 2-liter 6-cylinder engine, which allowed it to accelerate to 219 km/h, and it took the car 10.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Leather and wood were used in the interior. Plus, the manufacturer released a limited racing series with a 2.3-liter engine producing 200 hp. Interestingly, the car’s silhouette with a long hood and a shifted back cabin was then used in the 5th generation Supra.
