Toyota 4Runner – overview

The Toyota 4Runner is a compact and mid-size (since 2002) SUV with a classic body-on-frame design and all-wheel drive. Introduced in 1984, the car was a 3-door version of the Hilux pickup and was called the Hilux Surf in Japan. The second generation received a full-fledged 5-door body. Over time, the car grew in size and became better and more beautiful, and engines grew from 2-liter to 4-liter and even 4.7-liter. The fifth generation 4Runner is sold only in the USA, Canada and some Latin American countries.
