Toyota iQ generations

The Toyota iQ is a subcompact front-wheel drive city car with a body length of just under three meters. The car was named in honor of the IQ, which hinted at clear competition with the Smart model. The hatchback was designed by the Toyota studio in Nice, France. The car was equipped with gasoline engines with a volume of 1.0 and 1.3 liters or 1.4-liter diesel engines, paired with a CVT or manual transmission. The car had a single generation: for Europe from 2008 to 2015, for North America from 2012 to 2015. In Japan, the iQ was produced for the longest time (2008-2016) and was even named "Car of the Year 2008".
