Toyota Kluger – overview
The Toyota Kluger is a mid-size SUV for the Japanese market, known as the Highlander in export markets. It was produced from 2000 to 2013. "Kluger" means "wise" in German. The car occupied an intermediate position between the RAV4 and 4Runner models. It looked like the Toyota Harrier, but the platforms of the models were different. The SUV was offered in a 5-seater version from 2000, and it received a three-row, 7-seater version after modernization. It was equipped with a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with 160 hp or a 3-liter V6 with 220 hp. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions were available.
