Toyota Matrix – overview
The Toyota Matrix is a compact hatchback manufactured by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada in Ontario, Canada. The car was developed on the basis of the Toyota Corolla together with General Motors. The GM version was sold as the Pontiac Vibe. Introduced in 2002, the model was produced until 2013. It had two generations. The hatchback was powered by 1.8 or 2.4 liter engines, equipped with an automatic or manual gearbox, and an all-wheel drive version was offered in both generations.
