Toyota Spade – overview
The Toyota Spade is a compact van designed for the domestic Japanese market, a twin of the Porte. It was produced by Toyota from 2004 to 2020. It differed from the original model in the aggressive design of the front face, which was rare for such small cars. On the left side there was a single sliding door (similar to the Porte), which provided a meter-wide opening, thus enabling immediate access to the front and rear seats. Both vans had absolutely flat floor. The Spade was equipped with 1.3 or 1.5 liter engines, paired with a CVT. The cars with a larger engine came with all-wheel drive.
