Toyota Vios - catalog and technical specifications
The Toyota Vios is a small car produced for the Asia-Pacific markets from 2002 to 2016. The sedan was based on the Toyota Vitz/Yaris hatchback. It is known as the Belta in Japan and as the Yaris in the US. The name "Vios" comes from the Latin word "vio" which means "to go" or "to travel". The model was quite simple. Only the second generation offered a choice between 1.3 or 1.5-liter engines, whereas the first and third generations had only one 1.5-liter engine. The car was front-wheel drive only and could be equipped with automatic or manual transmissions. But the sedan could boast of a pretty and even cute appearance.
