Vauxhall Viva – overview
The Vauxhall Viva is a small family car produced by Vauxhall from 1963 to 1979. It had three generations. It was introduced one year after the Opel Kadett A. Both cars were the result of the same General Motors project, had the same chassis design and the same engines. They even looked similar to each other and some of their components were easily interchangeable, while the cars were not copies. The third generation Viva was Vauxhall's last in-house designed passenger car, as all cars turned into Opel models. In 2015, Vauxhall returned to the Viva name again by making its own version of the fourth generation Chevrolet Spark.
