Volkswagen Type 1 generations

The Volkswagen Type 1, more commonly known as the Beetle, was produced from 1938 to 2003. The model received the status of a "people's" car and is still considered one of the longest-lived cars in the world. In addition to the memorable cute exterior, the car was distinguished by a progressive design: very roomy for its class, comfortable, safe, unpretentious and nimble. In the 1999 Car of the Century competition, to determine the world's most influential car, the Type 1 came fourth, after the Ford Model T, the Mini, and the Citroën DS. But many motorists around the world believe that the Beetle is the best.
