Origins
The Can-Am ATVs are designed and manufactured by BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products), an innovation-oriented company with deep roots and traditions. The Canadian company’s history dates back to 1942, when Joseph-Armand Bombardier founded his business in the province of Quebec. In 2006, Bombardier ATVs became Can-Am ATVs. Today, the company employs about 5.5 thousand people. BRP owns such brands as Ski-Doo and Lynx (snowmobiles), Can-Am (ATVs), Sea-Doo (jet skis), Evinrude outboards and Rotax engines. All BRP equipment is dearly loved by fans of extreme sports. Thus, Ski-Doo branded snowmobiles are iconic, especially in Canada, as a result of which they have been included in the list of the country’s greatest inventions.
Distinctive features
The Maverick ATVs have a modern design and high ground clearance. They are equipped with durable wheels from Maxxis. If necessary, crew members can adjust the position of the seats. The ATV’s cabin provides easy access to the controls. The ATV is equipped with luggage racks, a 40-liter gas tank, adjustable Fox Podium shock absorbers, a removable hood and a radiator grille. An 850-watt generator will be enough for additional electrical equipment. The Maverick is distinguished by the ease of operation. The Maverick features a powerful 3-cylinder turbocharged Rotax ACE with intercooler and air cleaner. The 900 cc engine accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. Its output is 195 hp. The new 2021/2022 ATVs come with Rotax Turbo RR engines with 200 hp, the most powerful engines that has ever been put on an all-terrain vehicle. Improved pistons, a larger turbocharger, an efficient intercooler and a sports air filter will make it easy to break away from all pursuers. The ATV owes its responsiveness to the QRS-X CVT, equipped with a boosted air cooling system.

The Maverick chassis is specially designed for difficult terrain. ATVs are built on a heavy-duty and lightweight frame with a long wheelbase. The vehicles feature a double A-arm with a transverse stabilizer bar at the front. Its stroke is 559 mm. There is a rear multi-link suspension with TTX main trailing arm and stabilizer. Its stroke is 610 mm. The 30-inch Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires take on sharp rocks and retain excellent grip on unstable surfaces. Traditionally, Maverick pays a lot of attention to safety, which is ensured by hydraulic disc brakes with two-piston calipers, a stiffening cage, seat belts and doors.
Can-Am engineers don’t stop there. According to Can-Am, the new generation of ATVs has the most advanced suspension ever installed. The suspension is equipped with 9 sensors that transmit information to the control unit, capable of adjusting the valves up to 200 times per second. It will take you only 17 milliseconds to switch from softest to hardest setting. The Maverick X3 X-RS Turbo RR is the first Can-Am ATV to feature this active suspension. The parameters of its compression and rebound are automatically adjusted depending on the nature of the road.
The Turbo RR engine has become more powerful, producing 200 hp. It works with a new pDrive CVT drive pulley that improves throttle and brake response by 30%. The ATVs feature a more rigid frame with reinforced rear arms. The Maverick DS Turbo RR is equipped with a Smart-Lok differential. The Maverick X RS has a new color and tires and is now fitted with lightweight and durable Maxxis Carnivore 32 tires. They are designed for extreme conditions.

2021 CAN-AM MAVERICK X RS ТURBO RR SMART-SHOX
This is a powerful two-seater all-terrain vehicle with a removable plastic roof. It has a 195-horsepower turbocharged engine, versatile 30-inch tires, long-travel adaptive self-adjusting suspension with sport dampers, 850-watt magneto, Smart-Lock differential lock system and 406 mm ground clearance. The compression and rebound damping parameters of the Smart Shox active suspension are automatically adjusted. This keeps the wheels in constant contact with the road. They slip less and give more dynamics. As a result, the ATV is easier to control. Suspension parameters are controlled by an electronic unit that reads data from nine sensors. Each shock absorber is configured separately. Smart Shox works in Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes.
2022 CAN-AM MAVERICK MAX X RS TURBO RR
This is a longer modification for four people. The ground clearance reaches 406 mm, and the wheelbase is 3,429 mm. It features a front locking differential with exclusive Smart-Lok technology, pDrive primary drive and CVT (QRS-X) with improved ventilation, True 4-Mode traction control: 2WD/4WD with the front locking differential.
