Toyota Adventure is coming to Europe
The Adventure version has existed since the start of sales of the current fifth generation, but in September 2021 Toyota decided to add it to its European list of trim levels for the RAV4. At the same time, the manufacturer decided to slightly upgrade the SUV. The Adventure is considered to be an ‘off-road’ version, featuring a different radiator grille, plastic protection covers of the wheel arches and in the lower part of the front bumper, and 19-inch black wheel rims. It has new LED headlights with integrated navigation light strips, although the housings and seating are the same. There are also nice LED fog lights and new wheel designs. In Europe, the new Toyota RAV4 Adventure (and other upgraded SUVs) will appear in the first quarter of 2022.
- For reference: Israeli buyers can purchase the last, fifth (as of 2021) generation of the 2018 Toyota RAV4, which can even have a hybrid system. Depending on engine type, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and trim levels, Israeli buyers can choose from 10 SUV options. A petrol engine with 175 hp is available for both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive RAV4 models. The maximum speed is 190 km/h. Hybrid models can produce 218 hp (front-wheel drive) or 222 hp (4×4). The maximum speed is 180 km/h. There is also a particularly powerful 306 hp plug-in hybrid with all-wheel drive.
The interior of the new Toyota RAV4 Adventure has its own special seat trim, which should make the driver feel more adventurous, especially in the presence of such nice little things as backlit window regulator buttons, a ‘fashionable’ USB-C connector and an electric drive for the front passenger seat.
The 2021/2022 Toyota RAV4 comes with the same 2-liter petrol engine (175 hp) with front or all-wheel drive. The hybrid system based on a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine has a total power of 218 hp on the front wheel drive or plus another motor on the rear axle, the final output being 222 hp. This 3-engine variant will be installed on the European Adventure. If you want more power, there is a four-wheel drive plug-in hybrid version with a peak power of 306 hp.
