GMC Typhoon – overview
The GMC Typhoon is a high performance 2-door SUV produced by GMC from 1992 to 1993. It is based on the 1991 GMC Syclone, an upgraded version of the Sonoma pickup. The Typhoon looked like a typical vehicle, but it had a 280 hp engine and a range of unique technological options that accelerated a truck weighing over 1.7 tons to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
