Honda Accord – overview
The Honda Accord is a compact and later mid-size car, which has been produced since 1976 mainly in sedan and sport estate bodies. Over 45 years, more than 8 million cars have been produced and sold. The name Accord means "consent and harmony between man, society and a car". The first generation model won the title of car of the year in different countries. The second generation became the first Japanese car to be produced in America at a plant in Ohio, USA and for the next 15 years, until 1996, it was the best-selling Japanese model in the USA. In its current incarnation, the Accord is only a sedan that has lost most markets, but is true to its sporty style.
