Honda Civic Type R – overview
The Honda Civic Type R is a sports version of the Honda Civic, a compact C-segment car, produced since 1997. The letter "R" in the word "Type R" comes from the English word "racing", which directly indicates the sporty nature of the car. All Honda vehicles with the letter "R" at the end (Type R, Euro R, and SIR) are distinguished by the Honda emblem on a red background.
