Honda Civic Type R - catalog and technical specifications
The Honda Civic Type R is a sports version of the Honda Civic, a compact C-segment car, produced since 1997. The letter "R" in the word "Type R" comes from the English word "racing", which directly indicates the sporty nature of the car. All Honda vehicles with the letter "R" at the end (Type R, Euro R, and SIR) are distinguished by the Honda emblem on a red background. It is the same as on the RA-272 car, which brought the Japanese brand its first victory in Formula 1 races in Mexico in 1965.
