The Hummer H1 is an all-wheel drive SUV produced by AM General from 1992 to 2006. The vehicle was based on the military HMMWV-M998 due to the growing demand for powerful off-road vehicles, or at least for those that looked similar to such models. Compared to the military model, the civilian one was more comfortable. The Hummer's success exceeded all expectations. Despite the high price, it quickly gained popularity, primarily due to its stunning appearance and unique cross-country ability compared to conventional SUVs. The H1 has long been the largest SUV in the world.
