Jaecoo J5 is a compact 5-seater crossover from the Jaecoo brand, part of the extensive range of the Chinese Chery corporation. Unveiled in October 2024, the 4.4-meter-long car features an exterior inspired by mountain landscapes, a sporty profile and a 1.45 square meter panoramic roof. m. In terms of dimensions, the J5 is 120 mm shorter and 30 mm lower than its “big brother” J7. The interior is more refined compared to the brutal J7. A wide screen for instruments was placed in front of the driver, integrated into the instrument panel; in the center there was a vertical multimedia tablet with a diagonal of 13.2 inches. The front seats are electrically adjustable and covered in eco-leather. The interior layout is 5-seater, but the space utilization ratio reaches 82.8%. Inside there are 35 places to store all sorts of small items. The trunk holds from 480 to 1180 liters. 19 active driving assistants are responsible for safety. The wireless smartphone charger generates 50W of power. The Jaecoo J5 is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol turbo engine with an output of 197 hp and 290 Nm. European version, equipped with a 147 hp engine, complies with eco-standards. Some modifications have all-wheel drive. Electric and hybrid versions will appear in the future. The start of sales in China is scheduled for 2025.
