Mazda RX-7 - catalog and technical specifications
The Mazda RX-7 is a sports car produced by Mazda (Japan) from 1978 to 2002. The model came to replace the RX-3 and was sold in Japan under the Savanna brand. The original Mazda RX-7 was equipped with a two-section rotary piston engine and had a front mid-engine rear-wheel drive layout. The famous Japanese sports car was destined to become popular: a well-thought-out body structure, excellent transmission and engine layout, a low center of gravity and an ideal 50:50 weight distribution. Plus, the car featured the Wankel rotary piston engine that reached its maximum power very quickly. Therefore, the RX-7 was loved by drifters and filmmakers (Khan's car in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, 2006), and even Playboy magazine, which called it "The Car of 1993".
