Mercedes SLK-Class AMG – overview
The Mercedes-AMG SLK-Class is a high-performance version of the SLK compact roadster produced from 2001 to 2016. The model was positioned as a direct competitor to the BMW M Roadster and Porsche Boxster S. The very first representative of the series was equipped with a 3.2-liter supercharged V6 engine with a capacity of 349 hp. The modern Mercedes-AMG SLK 55 received a 5.5-liter V8 engine with 421 hp. The high-performance roadster featured an aggressive front bumper, aerodynamic side skirts, a small rear spoiler, a diffuser and a sports exhaust with four oval tailpipes. The car features branded sports seats, a different instrument panel and brushed aluminum and carbon fiber trim.
