Nio ET5 – overview
The Nio ET5 is a compact electric sedan, produced by Nio since 2021. It is expected to become the most popular model of the Chinese company. The ET5 meets all current Euro NCAP and NHTSA requirements, including the rollover test. The sedan features frameless doors and has a drag coefficient of 0.24, which is quite impressive by today's standards. The all-wheel-drive version comes with two electric motors producing a combined 490 hp and 700 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Three battery options are available. The base Standard Range version has a 75 kWh battery, capable of more than 550 km (according to the NEDC cycle). The Long Range version, with a 100 kWh battery, offers 700 km of range on a single charge. The Ultralong Range version, with a next-generation 150 kWh battery, allows for more than 1000 km without recharging.
