Nissan Maxima - catalog and technical specifications
The Nissan Maxima is a mid-size 4-door, 5-seater sedan manufactured by Nissan. At one time it was the most prestigious car of the European Nissan model range, which was targeted at those who preferred the E-segment cars. It debuted as Datsun Maxima in 1982. In some markets outside of North America, the name "Maxima" has also been applied to the Nissan Cefiro and Teana. The car was offered in sedan or estate bodies. The sedans had an independent rear suspension, whereas the estates had a drive axle on leaf springs. Since 1983, North American Datsun cars have been wearing the Nissan badge. Modern cars have been equipped with the innovative Nissan Safety Shield 360 security system. It includes a lot of devices that control the distance to the vehicle in front, the traffic lane, high and low beam modes, as well as the conditions behind the car.
